LEAVE THE WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES (WCC)

In South Korean Christianity, the Presbyterian Church of Korea is predominant and vital. The largest Presbyterian group is the Presbyterian Church of Korea, Tonghap, a member of the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK).

Many Christians in South Korea are urging member churches to withdraw from these two organizations, as they believe they are not only biblical but also not faithful to God the Father, Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

A rally demanding the withdrawal of the Presbyterian Church of Korea, Tonghap, from the WCC and NCCK took place at the front of the 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall of the Presbyterian Church of Korea, Tonghap, in Seoul where the Tonghap group's General Assembly Headquarters is.

On the morning of October 28, 2023, four significant Christian organizations joined the protest and withdrawal recommendation rally.

The protestants advised the Presbyterian Church of Korea, Tonghap to repent and to stop the membership of the WCC and NCCK, for they are a non-biblical organization and compromising body that departs from the essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The reason for advocating the withdrawal from WCC and NCCK is as follows:

First, they have strayed from the essence of Christianity and the teachings of the Bible. They issued a statement urging the National Assembly to enact a non-biblical comprehensive anti-discrimination law for non-heterosexual orientations while not protesting human rights violations in North Korea and China. They pressured the National Assembly to create anti-Christian laws.

Second, under the pretext of interfaith dialogue, they engage in syncretic practices that do not pray in the name of Jesus, thus sinning of 'do not take the name of the Lord your God in vain' in the Ten Commandments. WCC officially announced the religious pluralism, saying, "God's grace of salvation is not limited" to Christianity.

Third, despite the ongoing truce, they advocate for the armistice declaration and eventual peace agreement. Such a message ultimately means dismantling the U.S.-South Korea joint command, disbanding UN forces, and withdrawing U.S. troops. They are undermining the essence of Christianity with their pro-North Korean, left-wing neo-Marxism, advocating for the destruction of the U.S.-South Korea alliance and the repeal of national security laws.

Fourth, the PresbGtyerian Church of Korea, Tonghap, tolerated and supported the wrongdoings of NCCK and WCC. They made inexplicable declarations, including the joint peace declaration. The leading member church of the WCC, the Presbyterian Church of Korea, Tonghap, is causing significant harm to the entire South Korean Church.

These organizations jointly released a lengthy statement titled 'May God bless our country!'
